After a summer break, the two brunettes settle back behind the mics to share stories from their vacation. Sarah shares her love for her sister and everything beachy recounting excursions to both Hermosa and Venice beach then confesses her struggles to find an apartment on the westside. Julie describes her travels northward to Vancouver, Canada as well as other stops along her Pacific Northwest road trip. However proving that a summer in sunny California is never all play and no work, Sarah reveals a few of her most frustrating audition experiences, and Julie explains why she's been humming Christmas carols in hundred degree weather. Celebrating the beginning of summer, Sandy, Sarah & Julie take on the series of sequels in theaters this season. Dubbing it the summer of the three, the girls offer their top three picks for all time best sequel, best movie musical and favorite classic film. Have a wonderful 4th!! This week, Sarah and Julie discuss the power of pie. They were happy to catch a screening of the independent film, Waitress, that included a Q&A with one of the film's producers, Michael Roiff, and actress Cheryl Hines. The girls discuss the tragedy that surrounds the movie because of the death of its writer/director Adrienne Shelly. A foundation has subsequently set up in her name to help up & coming female filmmakers. Sarah & Julie warn listeners that upon watching the movie, Waitress, one may find him or herself craving pie. This week, Blonde and Brunette are back to chat about all the fun they had at the LA opening of Jersey Boys where they spied legends like Frankie Valli, Frankie Avalon, Kirk Douglas, and Debbie Reynolds. Because one star-studded soiree a week is never enough, Julie explains that an Ocean's 13 event at Grauman's was the reason for Sandy's recent traffic headache and how three of the film's stars and one producer cemented their place in hollywood history. Finally, in the category of rising stars, Julie shares kind words about Bryan Greenberg's gig at The Mint last week. If you didn't catch it, he performs again this Thursday, June 7th.
