LA Podcast, Nontourage, announces the premiere of their mini-sitcom for the Video iPod

(Los Angeles, CA - May 4, 2006) Julie Daman and Sandra DeNise from the popular LA podcast "Nontourage" proudly announce a podcast party and premiere screening of "ALMOST THERE" -- a mini-sitcom produced by Nontourage, Inc. and created expressly for the video iPod, Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the Silent Movie Theater.

"Nontourage" is a podcast launched in August 2005 by Julie Daman and Sandra DeNise to reveal an insider's view of Hollywood not often seen--the view from those hovering just under the radar. These former NYU roommates forged a close friendship while attending Tisch School of the Arts. After graduation, Julie, who studied filmmaking, worked on several successful television shows while Sandra, who studied musical theater, performed with a number of Broadway touring companies. Their careers eventually led each of them to Los Angeles where their diverse experiences inspired the podcast, “Nontourage”. Hosted by their thinly veiled alter-egos, Blonde & Brunette, Sandra and Julie share personal tales of perseverance from the Hollywood trenches. Including amusing anecdotes of auditions and meetings, awkward celebrity sightings, and inspiring interviews with a variety of behind-the-scenes professionals, the site provides a limelight for the industry's underexposed talent while also revealing the quirky perks and pitfalls of a Hollywood life.

"Nontourage" has enjoyed continued growth and success over the past months. The weekly audio podcast has over 25 episodes and listeners in more than 85 countries. After the introduction of Apple's video iPod, Nontourage saw the potential of a video-cast. The natural next step was to generate original content for the video iPod, placing their work literally in the palm of everyone's hand. The result was "Almost There,” a mini-sitcom that will premiere at http://www.nontourage.com/ on May 22, 2006.

Co-written by Julie Daman and Sarah Atwood, the series of five episodes stars Sarah Atwood, Sandra DeNise, and Clay Adams as young Hollywood not-so-hipsters. Each episode, approximately 10-15 minutes in length, keeps with the Nontourage theme by highlighting the humorous side of life behind Hollywood's glitz and glamour. Without ringing each other’s necks or leaving each other behind, the characters of Lynn, Ben, and Soleil find friendship and, of course, love while trying to be “discovered”.

"Almost There" can be loaded onto the video iPod through iTunes or viewed on a computer at Nontourage.com (Quicktime required). A teaser is currently available for preview.

Nontourage shows that life in Hollywood may not be glamorous, but it’s always entertaining.
